For this particular collaboration with Serendip Dance Company, I was tasked with creating a dance score using recordings of didgeridoo. The aim was to captured the meditative, pulsing rhythms of the didgeridoo, while transforming them into something melodic and catchy...something the didgeridoo does not inherently do, since it only plays one note. To help with the melody, I added samples of authentic aboriginal music, and used modern hiphop arrangements and sampling techniques to complete the sound. Of all the crazy music I've made this year, this is the craziest.
